Disappointed

| Returned for refund. Frame was to short for standard length hammocks... your rear-end is inches from the ground when in use. Product finish was poor. Some damage to the bottom rail. Parts list only, no instructions. My suggestion is to keep looking. |
Fits the bill if you want contemporary

For the money, this a nice stand. But some things to be aware of before you buy:
1. It's not that well packaged. The box arrived a bit damaged. It's made in Vietnam so it's gone a long way and is reinforced in some places with wood and is generously wrapped with plastic... but some parts still arrived a bit scratched up. Really not a big deal, though, it's patio furniture.
2. THE PHOTO ON AMAZON IS MISLEADING. There is a cross bar you need to attach (I recommend it, adds a lot of support). So this isn't really a Z, it's more like an X.
3. It flexes quite a bit. It's structurally sound, but when you first sit in it you're momentum is going to rock the hammock, which then rocks the hammock stand. It settles down of course, but takes quit a bit longer than a fixed hammock would. Hope you don't get sea sick :)
If you're look at this, though, it's because you want a hammock stand that looks more modern than a big wooden one. There's not a lot out there, I checked. Stop your search and get this one... |
